10th Congress of SMEs

SME have organized 10th International SME Congress in Sava Centre, in co-organisation with Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, and SME Union. This important event, supported by OECD LEED Partner Club and UEAPME, was attended by 250 delegates, representatives from SME sector, Serbian institutions and distinguished guests from the EU. The Congress was opened by PhD Milan Jankovic, President of Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Peter Jungen, President of SME Union. The first panel was dedicated to the social dialogue and tripartite cooperation, and the second one to the public policy measures, aimed at support of SME sector, and to the innovations, key factor for further SME development.

The attendees had the opportunity to hear the interventions of numerous guests both from EU- such as Mr. Frank Angel, Member of European Parliament, Lars Eric Forsberg, EC representative, Alessandra Proto, OECD LEED Centre, Gerhard Huemer, UEAPME, PhD Jurgen Henke, Team Leader of the EU funded Project (Improved SME Competitiveness and Innovation), and from Serbia – Ivica Ezdenci, Director, National Agency for Regional Development, assistants to ministers of Ministry of Economy and Regional Development and Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Mr. Miodrag Kostic, President of employers’ Association “Employer”, representatives form trade unions, etc.
